The incredible talent of Congolese entrepreneurs

Almost three years ago, our Founder Nate published this piece celebrating the success of the young leaders we work with in the DRC. In it, he also proposed an alternative model of financing for CLI (and similar organizations) - one that relies less on philanthropy and more on gains realized by the success of the talented youth we train.

Since then, we’ve made strides in this area. Progress is slow, but we believe now more than ever that Congolese entrepreneurs are an attractive and unheralded asset class that we have unique access to.
